Blair to be called before Iraq war inquiry

Tony Blair will be called to testify in public before a panel investigating the Iraq war, the head of the inquiry confirmed on Thursday.

Sir John Chilcot, a former senior civil servant, denied there would be any “whitewash” and insisted he would not “shy away” from making frank criticisms where necessary.
