Would the moon landings have been possible without Project Paperclip?

Perhaps, but may well have taken the US longer to develop the technology.

Fascinating, and morally dubious, how they exploited known Nazis for their own gain.

Exploited perhaps but Von Braun was a willing participant and actively sought the US as they advanced bringing much of his team and reasearch. I guess the thought of falling into the hands of the Russians made it the lesser of two evils.
