True, there is no way the UK could afford to pay 6 million people to sit on their arses doing nothing. The point Milan is that we are part of a trading bloc, and we are all affected by the economies of our trading partners. So our problems cannot be isolated. If France and Germany were creating jobs then ironically our problems would not matter as we could all join you in your European paradise.

I think Milan because you simply refuse to accept that Germany and France have problems. The difference between France, Germany and the UK is that because of that interfering bitch Margaret Thatcher it is taking us a while to catch up with the rest of Europes unemployment rate, worker protection laws,
and all the other job/investment prevention measures. By the time of the next election Milan, thanks to Brown we will have overtaken the rest of them.

Milan, basic maths. If repossesions are near an all time low (as they are). Any percentage increase will be large. This is why for example when quoting AIDS infection in the UK, percentages are meaningless.

Hasn't Germany been in recession for the past 5 years? How did our great leader put it? "...Not for us the malaise of France or the ansgt of Germany..." Or was it the other way round?
