Apart from the cosmetic thing - at least she can eat. drink and talk ' normally' which she was not able to do post op. That must be a bonus?

The French woman didn't look too great right after the operation either. The face is certainly better now than it was.

    Warning: contains pre-operation photo too

, what an absolute twat her husband was (shot her in the face)
I felt really sorry for her. This is one thing to like about being an ugly minger like me in the first place - I don't look any worse as I get older so I don't have as much to lose. In her case no one could guess she ever looked so good once, even after surgery.

It may be that the French have slightly more attractive raw material to work with as well. Most American faces will have been stretched over the frame of some fat, blobby yank probably beyond the limit of their natural elasticity.

The woman (Connie?) who'd been shot in the face looked a bit better post-surgery. Admittedly, the baseline was low!

Is all that swelling temporary or are American face transplant doctors just a bit crap compared to the French?
Blokey looks a bit like a Simpsons character. Just an observation, don't shoot.

normally this sort of reconstrcutive surgery gets better over time but when it is of this scale i think it will always be noticable with the current medical techniques
Well, noticeable is one thing, but I wonder if the French lady was a bit further into recovery when she was shown to the press as her face wasn’t swollen up like a beached whale.

Well I don’t wish to laugh at their expense, as they’ve obviously all gone through a bloody hard time, but I really wonder if what we’re seeing is the final result or if there’s some kind of after-sales service that’ll straighten it all out.
