    Comedy aside (I managed to contain myself) I've had no problems with expenses from house shares in the past, as long as the rent is proportionate and has a receipt it's been acceptable.

    Oh Sorry I see what you mean......... you are planning to rent a room which you think may be a different proposition in "alowability" to say a Hotel or B&B.

    Sorry for confusion - you really should be clearer (esp as you posted in General which is really not a good place to get sensible advice!)
