    My experience was the opposite. I found it pretty easy to get a decent trajectory on the discus but my javelin imitated a helicopter rotor most of the time.

    I tried the discus for a while as a student. Bloody difficult. Much more difficult than javelin and harder to aim. More suited to scattering a crowd than targeting an individual.
