I saw Reservoir Dogs the other day again. Great film. Didn't know "Nice Guy Eddie" had died actually.

I really must stop reading the papers. Seeing the title of this thread I took it for granted it was about Eddie George the governor of the Bank of England.

Just down the road from me. Mark Radcliffe (of Radio fame) often does impromtu gigs in the local pub.

He says so yes. And that includes Radbroke Hall.

started a topic Nice guy eddie

    Nice guy eddie

I'm renting a room from this chap in Knutsford area. Nice big house, sprawling gardens, complete with lovely doggie. All good. I think he bought the house with a view to renting out the rooms long term. He gave me some leaflets to take to work which I did, pinned one up on the noticeboard (with permission) and also gave one to HR.

He is a nice bloke, estranged from his wife, and lives there by himself. The thing is he is getting more and more inquisitive about whether anyone at work wants to rent a room from him. I tell him I have heard nothing, and he looks a little despondant but is still friendly enough.

I suggested advertising in the local rag, tourist board, web site etc etc and he is not keen. His mind is that he wants professional people as they will pay and not trash the place, so he is selective about where he advertises.

Now I'm not sure about the code on conduct so I will not name his property on here as I don't want to get into trouble, but is it ok to mention him on here and see if anyone would benefit from a long term rent?

Before anyone asks, yes I know I should tell him I only rent a room and its not my problem, I'm just too soft.

Working...
