No doubt the aliens, out of the kindness of their multiple hearts, are giving us a respite for now, by cooling the Sun.

I don't believe most conspiracy theories, because I don't believe most people are smart enough or cooperative enough or sufficiently united in all their beliefs and incentives to pull them off without some maverick spilling the beans.

But practically every policy and aspiration of this fascist Government ends up as some kind of conspiracy. They lie through their teeth like a flatulent cart horse trumps, almost without thinking about it or even realizing they're doing it, and I'd be quite willing to believe that any guys digging up the road are secretly installing some new covert Government-sponsored remote brain scan equipment to monitor passers by.

Sort off. Official teaching was elliptic orbits, he said they were circular. Also moon caused the tides, he said they were caused by water sloshing about.

So, I'd say official church teaching was more correct.

What did for him was his nasty little pamphlets.

One should recognise protestant propaganda when it pops up.

That's what they want you to think, which was why the CND case is the classic example. A brilliant piece of government-initiated social management that just went wrong.

Similar methods are being used to make people think "Islam is bad, therefore it's OK for the government to do what they want". Quite how the government is turning people in Britain against Pakistan will be studied for generations to come ... as will the consequences.

Isn't it the other way round; CND members went on to form a government?

I thought that was Copernicus. Maybe I'm wrong.

Hmm, in my mind there's no doubt that terrorists did this but the dark and dodgy dealings the CIA had with 'rebels' in Afghanistan in the 80's & 90's probably went someway to put them in the position to carry out such an attack, the American government don’t want to talk about that though.

Does the Iraq war qualify as a conspiracy? It’s obviously a war for oil but no-one in officialdom would admit that either.
