What, you think Obama makes decisions of that low level? If he was involved on any level he'd certainly say no straight away.

Seeing the plane that low probably spooked quite a few folks.

Then seeing the fighter trailing it probably confirmed in their minds that it was a hijacked plane and the fighter was either "escorting it" or lining up for an attack.

Maybe it WAS an attempted terrorist attack. They stopped it, and don't want to admit to leaving the keys in the ignition when Abdul was cleaning out the aircraft

    Utter plonkers.

I'm sure that if they had publicised it, there would have been no problem. I guess loads of people would have been out and about to catch a picture of Air Force One flying around their city.

They probably thought some nutter would want to try and shoot it down, but it's hardly likely to happen if the president isn't aboard (so strictly speaking it wasn't AF1).

    New York madness

Wouldn't it be a good idea to get some pictures of Airforce 1 set low against the New York skyline?

err, don't you think that might sh1t the people of New York up a bit given fairly recent events?

    Unbelievable piece of judgement.
