I'm not married but soon to get my pension, and I would love to have another earner to contribute to my lifestyle, and I would not care how much she earns, but the more the better. I just cannot understand the husbands that get jealous of their wives, because what's hers is mine and vice versa !!

Doesn't do it any more, and I'm glad of that - regular 100 hour weeks for months on end aren't good for your health or relationship!

If gf chef earned equal to or more than me then I'd expect her to do as I do now and stump up minimum of half or otherwise more than half of whatever things cost.
If I was married and the OH earned significantly more than me and was happy for me to not work and enjoy life then i'd be living the dream..
