I thought the garlanded missiles were a nice touch, wounder if they were live to give it that extra bit of excitement

Unbelievable.

They should have used footage of Apocalypse Now and the Ride of the Valkyries. That would have been more stirring.

Joking aside, does anyone else find it a teensy-weensy bit crass to have a contender for Israel's Eurovision 2009 entry set to the backgroup of garlanded missiles, whilst the two lovebirds coo about "believing in each other and protecting each other" ?

I don't think I'll ever understand the Middle Eastern mindset, and to be honest, I don't think I really want to.
