Outside tap, long water hose with extensions if required.
Lay hose around the garden, hidden by bushes. Poke lots of holes in the hose.
Turn on the tap when required. Cost: very little and does not go wrong.

Britain is a north western European island in the Atlantic Ocean with what we call a 'temperate' climate.

That means it rains a lot. Hence, it is a very green place.

It is also heavily populated and so water shortages occur in the less rainy months.

Do the planet a favour and don't bother.

And ditto for patio heaters (which should be illegal to own as far as I can see).
