picked up my mail last night, a letter from an IT dude.
Not sure if the guy is a contractor but I found the approach very interesting.
It was a covering letter (bigging hiself up) followed by a two page CV, signed.
My first thought was, how many of these had he sent out ? who stuck all those stamps on ? who printed all this stuff off ?
His targetting aint too good because I am not in the hiring market
On the subject of targetting, I got an email yesterday about a staff job in Cambridge requiring at least a 2:1 from a "World Class" University.
I responded with "Thanks for the email but I don't have a degree."
The agent replied with "It doesn't matter, can I put you forward?"
picked up my mail last night, a letter from DVLC with my tax disk and a letter from an IT dude.
At first I read this as the letter from the DVLA included the letter from the ITDude... which at least showed initiative ie Saved him 26Million stamps for a huge (if somewhat unfocused) mail shot.
Maybe your CUK fame is spreading and all/any ITDudes think you are the first port of call on anything IT!
