Also, after 20 years - it's not going to be as funny obviously.

There have been many moments where some manager type has said something that's pretty much word-for-word dilbert:

e.g. "Coding project's delayed: I want hourly updates until the situation improves..."

I can't certify you as "the only one" but I would expect you are in a small minority.........

I am not - nor ever have been - a code monkey.

I think one in about 10 is funny, about upto 8/10 worth a grin and the final couple take it or leave it........

1/10 is a better hit rate than CUK - but with one a day.... (I obviously mean only one Dilbert per day - I have NEVER even looked at one-a-day)

I don't know how anyone in I.T. can not find Dilbert funny. To even question the hilarity suggests some kind of mental defect.
Perhaps those that find Americanized "Cube" humour repetitive and banal?

    So why post this today?

The used to promote the TV series with him being an "office worker". Obviously "engineer" or worse "computer programmer" was considered far too sad and wouldn't appeal to any normal person.

I don't think that's true as a large proportion of them are 'management' type jokes. I don't find them hilarious but they are worth a read occasionally imo.
