Made waffles at the weekend a with a couple of rashers of crispy bacon and some lightly sealed banana slices (with the heat left on the frying pan) all dripping in the magical maple syrup... uuuuuuggghghhh
I had someone bring me a large bottle back form Canada a couple of years ago. That was because I could't get hold of the proper stuff locally. Now it seems that all the major supermarkets sell it - and a choice of brands too.
I know that Selfridges sell it in their 'American' section.
Is worth a try, they certainly used to stock real US maple syrup at a sensible price.
Alternatively if you've got a USAF base anywhere near you and you know any of their staff the on base supermarkets stock all sorts of US products at US prices.
