    Made waffles at the weekend a with a couple of rashers of crispy bacon and some lightly sealed banana slices (with the heat left on the frying pan) all dripping in the magical maple syrup... uuuuuuggghghhh

    get back to Canadia!

    I had someone bring me a large bottle back form Canada a couple of years ago. That was because I could't get hold of the proper stuff locally. Now it seems that all the major supermarkets sell it - and a choice of brands too.

    I know that Selfridges sell it in their 'American' section.

    Is worth a try, they certainly used to stock real US maple syrup at a sensible price.

    Alternatively if you've got a USAF base anywhere near you and you know any of their staff the on base supermarkets stock all sorts of US products at US prices.

    Anyone know of any decent places on the web where you can buy it direct from the US or Canada?

    I've googled, but if anyone knows of anywhere that is any good that hey have used, that would be useful.
