It was bloody funny though; the ‘Gay and Lesbian Officer’ was sitting there with a big smirk on his face, almost pissing his gimp. He bought me a drink when I was finally allowed back in and said he wished he could have helped, but not being a member of his society he couldn’t do much. Justice, he?

About bloody time students went back to doing this sort of thing with sit-ins and occupations etc. It has been my gripe for the past 10-15 years that all the grads I've ended up working with have been too serious and square.

This is classic stuff as well. Picking a subject so complex they can't begin to fully understand and then picking the trendy side to support.

    Takes me back.......

The thing that amused me at Uni was that the socialists were so often the ones set to inherit substantial businesses or chunks of land.

I remember going on a student strike against a disgraceful attempt to introduce 8:30am lectures. The strike was scheduled to start at 2 o’clock in the afternoon and we hoped some lecturers would turn up looking for us, but they were all in the pub. Still, the 8:30am idea was dropped.
