Rimmer made the show IMO. It was amusing to see Chris Barrie pull some of his Rimmer faces (in a serious show) when he presented a series on Massive Machines too.

2nd and 3rd are better. Takes the whole thing up to a resonable standard.

Have not seen 2nd and 3rd yet but if the 1st to go by it's the script thats very weak - maybe they should have waited 10 more years for it. More importantly they got it totally wrong with shiny environment - they should have gone for old retro look of the inside of the ship which was cheaper than cGI back than, but now CGI is cheaper!

Loved the first six series. Thought it got weaker series seven to eight. And unfortunately, thought this "trilogy" was the worst example of "flogging a dead horse".
They're all too old, the writing is stale and even the injection of Sophie Winkleman as the "glamour" interest isn't going to save it.
Just let it go.
It's over.

Hmm saw episode 2 in the trilogy and enjoyed all the nods towards blade runner.
However Dr Who was much better by comparison.

I quite enjoyed it - it was better than a lot of other stuff on the box ............ mind you that's not really saying much is it?
Never mind Dr Who tonight

I checked online BBC1 and 2, was it shown on them, did I miss a lot?!?!
You never missed much and it will be repeated about 700 times in the next month so they can justify the money spent.

They forgot to put the canned laughter in so most of the fans of this kind of comedy never knew when to laugh.

hmmm Lisa Rogers .......Originally posted by gingerjedi View PostI love Scrapheap Challenge... Lisa or Cathy Rogers... phwoar!!
.... A few years ago I watched an England v Germany football match in a pub on Clapham Common. She was in there too, holding court with a group of blokes.
I didn't know who she was at that time but I knew I had seen her on TV.
hmmmm. Back in five.

Not impressed so far. And I'm especially inebriated for the occasion. As an original follower I'll persist. Otherwise it's the Max Payne DVD and the rest of the Amarone Classico.
