You are half way there - the committee bit is correct anyway.

Sounds perfect. Ever changing requirements means extension after extension!

You can’t get on it. They always ask for ‘previous NHS experience’. That’s why it keeps failing. As Albert Einstein says, ‘No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it’, and as one of our fellow CUK’ers says, ‘stupidity means doing the same thing time and time again and expecting a different result’.

£12bn would have saved a lot of lives if it was spent on better patient care directly.

Everyone knows the 'great rewrite' never works, but hey, it fills plenty of pockets.

The introduction of computerised NHS patient records in England could be hit by more delays, MPs warn.

The Committee on Public Accounts has thrown fresh doubt on a 2015 deadline for the ambitious £12bn project.

Its chairman said that even in trusts already using parts of the system, staff were unimpressed and the cost to the NHS was uncertain.

"Everyone recognises the potential of the programme and is frustrated at the delays, however, we are getting to the point where, having spent so much money both in funding the system and keeping it running, the time is quickly approaching to make tough decisions on what the future of the project should be."

No doubt heading for a £20+ bn piece of shelfware.

IIRC IBM describe this as the best project they never won
