Dear Mr Sir,

I am recently writing for you that a terrible injustice is about to take place. My goat is in gaol accused of robbery but she was one mile distant at the same time as the robbery. Of a car. My goat is in the family several years and a good mother.

I have no money to pay to a lawyer to defend my goat in the court and I am afraid she is sent for a long time to gaol. INNOCENT.

Goat accused of robbery

From today's Mail on Sunday:

Police in Nigeria are holding a goat on suspicion of attempted armed robbery.

Vigilantes seized the black and white goat, saying it was an armed robber who had used black magic to transform himself into an animal to escape after trying to steal a Mazda 323.

A spokesman for police in the eastern state of Kwara said "the goat is in our custody. Vigilantes saw some hoodlums attempting to rob a car. One escaped while the other turned into a goat."
