I while ago I saw a BBC news piece saying that prices were coming down as inflation had come down from 5.5% to 4.9%!

I agree with sasguru : basic stats needs to be taught in schools.

Council taxpayers in England are facing a 3.5% rise this spring - the lowest in more than a decade - according to Local Government Association figures.

Hooray! Low tax! Only about the 50th rise since Labour came to power and only just above inflation figures for the first time in god knows when.

I suppose this is good news considering people are struggling to pay the bills as it is?
