Perhaps that's where we are all going wrong.

I mean, you cannot really include the jobless as part of the jobless number totals, can you ?

After all, looking for a job is a job in and of itself, so by virtue, they cannot count as "jobless" since they already have a job.

That will get the employment figures looking a bit more rosy.

As for NHS Patients. It could be argued, very successfuly, by people way more clever than anyone on this board, and therefore their opinion would have to stand, that the word patient implies someone who is unwell and has medical issues requiring treatment.

However, we are all dying the moment we are born, and you cannot get much worse than that, which renders any other ailments somewhat superflouous by nature.

Bang...no one classifies as a patient anymore. So no more waiting lists.

(Apologies if anyone has suffered a bereavement recently. I try not to make light of death, but let's face it, if you don't do it now, you'd not exactly going to get a chance to do it when you're not here are you ?)

Call them "Healthcare Deciders". They don't have to go to the doctor do they ? There are other options. Again, you shift the onus.

Instead, by redifining it as a place that children turn up to, they can claim that the objectives have all been met, despite the fact that the children leave uneducated.
