When I'm on my way to work I am most definitely quicker than the cars now. Also, they're putting in new cables under the cycle track down Roskildevej. Had to shout to one road worker, "Watch what your doing with that darlin'". He had what looked like a spray can on the end of a stick and was idly swinging it about whilst chatting to some other likewise less-than-busy coworkers. Was worried it might catch on me or the bike as I passed.
He looked up to me with shock on his face. Don't know if it was happenstance, my shout in English, or calling him darlin that caused the sudden disappearance into the freshly dug trench, but he got out of the way, just in time.
Which was nice.

Hope at least you tried to hit them with your tail.Originally posted by zeitghostIt's save the planet day today apparently, so there were a number of cyclists on the way in to work...
Managed to miss them, just, but was able to have another go because of all the traffic light holdups on High Street.

Given that he was also invisible, how did you know you had a close encounter with him at all?Originally posted by Lucifer BoxDo you think I saw quantum effects at the macro level? Was he just a probability field and he wasn't where I thought he was?

If he was all over the road and you missed, does that mean you were driving on the pavement. If so I like your style. Bleedin pedestrians.

Quite. It can't be that difficult to get hold of luminous white facepaint these days.Originally posted by Lucifer Box...a black bloke dressed all in black on an unlit bike. Some people deserve what they get.

Then again there are some car drivers who just dont look. The amount of idiots who use the "sorry mate I didnt see you" excuse, when they realy mean they were not paying attention.
I often wonder why I need my head light on when riding my motorbike. Drivers seem to see poorly lit trucks and busses.

I had a real fright and some knob had a lucky escape a couple of weeks ago. Drove around a poorly lit blind corner late at night and right smack in the middle of the road weaving all over the place was a black bloke dressed all in black on an unlit bike. Some people deserve what they get, which is I'm glad last year's proposed change in the law to make it always the vehicle driver's fault when involved in a accident with a bicycle went no further.

Anybody noticed how many people ride bikes with no lights or reflectors on. How exactly am I supposed to spot some nob head weaving about in the road if I can't see him. Surely this raises the chances of him getting away uninjured.

If it does apply to you then please post here.Originally posted by wendigo100If you are nubile with a nice @rse they will be looking.
I'm only guessing, but that doesn't apply to you though, does it.
