    The loan/credit card companies can convert an unsecured loan into a secured one.

    Only worth doing if you can get together a large sum of money and then piss off to another country and then change your name and hide your old identity.

    Also burn all paperwork, go to the doctors get it on record you've had a nervous breakdown (to explain the sudden downturn in fortunes, and the destruction of paperwork), get prescribed some heavy psycho drugs like prozac etc. don't take them, but remember to buy the prescriptions, and go for repeats and buy those too (many fail on this, remember you want to have the right kind of paper trail for the busy bodies to look at, zero paper trail will get them digging.)

    Apply for bankruptcy.

    Move into a new B&B every few week, remember to update everyone on where you're living.

    Then after a few months, and you're in the grottiest B&B, just disappear off the radar completely.

    Right, for one reason or another I've got about £100k worth of credit available on creditcards at hand..
