42 next birthday. Perhaps when I'm in my 90's I'll be able to supress the gag reflex and keep one down.

Every year my mother (who does Christmas dinner for all of us), puts one on my plate and every year I steal her fork to remove it to her plate.

I only eat them because they are full of poisonous compounds that turn out to be good for you. I doubt they have much food value and I certainly wouldn't eat them for enjoyment.

Christmas is evil because it glorifies the Brussel Sprout, which is the work of Satan. Everybody knows that.

Only to children, who know that the only edible green thing is a bogie. I used to dislike sprouts, but my brother used to be physically sick at the dinner table if he was made to eat almost anything vegetable like, and sprouts were a definite no-go zone. Sprouts become edible as you get older though.

I first tried sprouts when I was 7 and hated them, but the next day my grandparents dished them up again and said they were brussels.

Although they seemed quite similar to sprouts I liked them a lot more, and have loved them ever since.

But if I'd known then what I know today about the EU they'd never have got away with it!

My brothers best mate.... got home with his passport, nothing else. He'd been travelling round SE Asia for 8 months or so. Him and his g/f were meant to be out on a boat trip, she felt ill so they didn't go!! If they had gone, they'd have been gonners, thats for sure

It was for one of my close friends who died on Christmas Day a few years back - that was an Evil Xmas.
