Absolutely not, I'm hardly enraged. I still use the word Fenian quite freely and will quite happily stand up in court and defend the use of the word. Fenian means Irish Nationalist. It has no Sectarian connotations, but was seized upon by the point scoring brigade and has apparently now been defined to mean someone of a Catholic persuasion. My mother and her side of the family are Catholic so I'm hardly a bloodthirsty Orangeman with a hatred of all things papal.
I also am of the school that "The famines over, why don't you go home" was a very good bit of football banter aimed at all the Plastic Paddys in the East End of Glasgow, but again this has now deemed to be racist by the point scoring brigade. I label you as one of them, the difference with the likes of Shaunobhoy and you is that I can have banter with him, I wouldn't with you.
You come across as an arse of the finest persuasion who quite clearly has this deep rooted hatred of Rangers and all their fans at your core. I could quite easily counter with the fact that all Celtic fans are supporters of terrorism, etc, but they're not and I'm mature enough to realise the 17 Celtic fans arrested in Aberdeen for the fighting are the dregs of society and it doesn't really matter what football colours they proscribe to, they're all the same.
I’m going home and I’m putting you on my ignore list, because people like you are taking the fun and banter out of football and I’d rather not read your crap.
One wonders what bigoted filth will come from your mob tomorrow. I am sure I will not get to the gate before I hear chants about child abuse or what I should do with the Pope.
The SPL's match delegate, Alan Dick, is understood to be aware of more than one episode of sectarian chanting during the Glasgow derby, which ended 0-0. On each occasion, anti-Papal, anti-Catholic and pro-Ulster Volunteer Force sentiments were heard coming from a significant proportion of the visiting fans.
