Yeah, being a BA is the best option. No hassle from managers, don't need to hassle anybody else, don't even need to do any work in most cases, just have to let techies do the analysis and cut/paste their comments into a nicely formatted document (of course, taking off the personal insults from the remarks).

I have been a manager but I got bored of people hassling me. You get it twice as bad if you are a technical manager.

Strictly technical during the day but I am managing 3 people on plan b just now.
