Yes, Perth is nice, but not too much in the way of banking opportunities (nor much else bar surfing and beachfront) IIRC.

Sydney isn't the only place in Australia though. Australia's huge, with varied climates. Winters in Perth are pretty mild as I've been led to believe.

It only rained twice when I was in Sydney for the winter. Once for 8 weeks and once for 4 weeks.

They do get good summers in Sydney, I'll grant them that. But their winters are wet, rainy and crap. Give me a crisp autumn/winter morning any day.
