    So the Police asked for a warrant, it was refused, so they found a way to circumvent the judge's descision.

    Isn't that, even in the arcane legal world, a prima facie 'contempt of court'? A really gross one at that.

    Someone should go to jail for that, but you know it won't happen.

    No magistrate or judge in the land would issue a search warrant for the Palace of Westminster. They'd just refer the request to the Speaker, and that's exactly why plod had to arrest Green.
