At least give a few seconds scientific explanation to help some of the audience who are not completely asleep by the end.
Intelligent scientists turning to mumbo jumbo. Religious order turning out to be evil. Pump action shotguns. Yep, definite Hollywood traits.
Oh, the script writer?
The two-part drama, which is due to air later this year, has been written by Patrick Harbinson, whose credits include the US series ER and Law & Order.

That film was a travesty.

Yes, we did.
Guns did not work on Triffids. They had to invent special CD-flingers to chop the stinging bit of the flower off.

I wasn't!
You're always on about it. "Will the girls like this? Will the girls like that? Is it too big? Is it too small? "

WTS. The second half was a bit more poor than the first. Still kind of enjoyed it though.

Well, the second part of Triffids portrayed the supposedly highly intelligent hero and his equally intelligent father as total knobheads once again.
What an anti-climax.
Why do they always portray these characters as incompetents?
They didn't even lock the doors when they went to bed for Christ's sake!
"Something's not right!, Something's up!" lets leave the guns behind and just rush in
C'mon script writers, if you have a total lack of intelligence or common sense, at least grant the audience the benefit of the doubt
It's like the old horror movies, 6 people have been killed, there's a noise in the basement, Let's go down there alone in the dark

This would never have happened under the Tories.
Dougray Scott was excellent in it, otherwise it was pants.
That blonde lady should have acted better, I'm sure she was better when she 'did' 101 Dalmations.

I have a first edition of the Seeds of Time somewhere, completely lost in the house move. Probably in one of the boxes that litter my office.
