    They set it as a question in the Mathematics GCSE and the invigilators are still arguing over what they feel may be the correct answer as the A*'s are mostly split between two results, the B's had a rather interesting sequence, and the C's felt is should be turquoise, but most spelt it wrong or the writing was illegible, so no one is quite sure?

    The increasing hidden costs of the government's PFI.
    SNP Treasury spokesman Stewart Hosie said that in the chancellor's March 2008 Budget, the expected bill for PFI contracts until 2032 was £188.6bn.

    However new figures published in the pre-Budget report last week showed that this had gone up to £216.1bn.
    Why did the bill increase so much in only 8 months?
