The difference is in tax - public sector workers get final salaries funded by tax, where as in the USA they have to earn it actually. Tax make all the difference in behavior.

I notice that the search results for this phrase are different for US and UK sites:
If you include all sites, the top results are American, and concern people planning to fund their own early retirement.
If you look on UK sites, most are aimed at public sector workers wanting to retire early.Tags: None
