LONDON (Reuters) - In a coordinated move, the treat levels in all countries have been reduced to their lowest levels as Osama bin Laden announces an end to the jihad to destabilise the economy of the United States after the election of Barack Obama.
In a rare message in English, bin Laden says, “The great Satan has managed to screw up their economy all by themselves without any effort on our part. Now that they have elected Obama as president that process is nearing completion. This time next year, conditions for the people of the United States and the rest of the Western world will be worse than those in the Palestinian refugee camps”.
However, it has caused panic in some government departments in the UK as new justifications for surveillance measures, national databases and identity cards will have to be found now that ‘combating terrorism’ can no longer be used.
