Do Amazon and the big online eTailers use many contractors?

What we're seeing is the death of the high street. First it was supermarkets and out of town retail parks, now the internet and eTailing.

People are generally lazy, if they can shop online they will, especially with the benefit of being able to compare prices very easily.

All we need is the couriers to get their act together so we can have evening/weekend deliveries rather than having to take a day off work waiting for a parcel that may not turn up.

With Crimbo almost upon us, the full impact of the recession won't be fully realised until after the new year sales have finished, then it will be a very quite run up to easter and beyond. AtW told me.
