I'm with Obama on this one - McCain hasn't got a clue, plus is only one dodgy tick away from leaving Palin with the finger on the button.
As Matt Damon said - this isn't an election, it's a Disney movie where the hockey mom can suddenly become president with no ability, history or skills!

No, but still, given the choice I’d still say Obama’s a better bet than McCain. In fact, I’d say Benny Hill’s a better choice than anyone who lets Sarah Palin anywhere near the White House.Originally posted by Incognito View PostThis is politics, not friendship we're talking about here. Anyway, even if he is a socialist it’s better than giving that Palin woman half a chance of getting power.

I hardly think we'd find an article like that in 'The New Socialist' now would we.Originally posted by snaw View PostBTW Posting links to articles in very right wing magazines doesn't actually help your argument.
You can disagree with the reasoning behind that article, but I'm afraid the facts are true. He has had links to all those organisations and William Ayers.Originally posted by snaw View PostBTW Swallowed the republican party propaganda machine's output hook line and sinker then?

Now getting away from the religious scaremongering that this article rustles up, I'm using it to point out associations between Obama and Raila Odinga. A little quote from the article:
Still not convinced he's a Socialist? This was not Mr. Odinga's first brush with notoriety. Like his father, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, the main opposition leader in the 1960s and 1970s, Raila Odinga is a Marxist He graduated from East Germany's Magdeburg University in 1970 on a scholarship provided by the East German government. He named his oldest son after Fidel Castro.

You've been watching too much 24.Originally posted by PM-Junkie View PostObama will win - narrowly. He will be assassinated before he takes office, triggering massive civil unrest in the US as it will bring all the political, religious economic and race issues to a head.

Obama got his political education from people who made Scargill look like a Liederhosen wearing Far right Austrian.

But because Acorn and the likes are all about 'empowering' black communities, the American press are reluctant to get into it for fear of the racism thing when it's not really about race and more about communism re-invented.

A question answered with two questions and load of irrelevant twaddle about UK politics on a thread about the US election.Originally posted by Cyberman View PostCan you find a link that said Tony Blair and Gordon Brown would increase taxes?
Very few politicians will state that they will raise taxes in an election campaign. Blair said in 1997 'we have no plans to raise taxes'. At the time I remember thinking 'what a liar !!'.
However, on the general point, you're right, they all lie, Bush Senior famously got elected on his "read my lips" promise, then put up taxes. Last time I looked, he wasn't a socialist either.

It does, but it's probably cheaper and perhaps less destructive.Originally posted by Cyberman View Post... but that still involves spending that same money !!
Anyway, I think they should spend more on space exploration instead of all these boring things like war, food coupons and banks. Give us something entertaining for our taxes.
