    I am convinced that they will certainly not be any worse, and they may pleasantly surprise us. A large proportion of crime is committed by foreigners, who make up at least 10% of people in our gaols.

    Reducing immigration and also extraditing these people would create valuable space in our prisons. Labour has actually encouraged criminality to come to our shores, by virtue of its lax immigration policies.

    are we really surprised ? Labour quote these figures ad nauseum to show that crime is down, and now we see that public perception is actually correct.
