My contract was due to expire on Wednesday, was told renewal was in the bag, then today I was told market conditions = no renewal I wouldnt of minded if they had frigging told me 2 weeks ago. Not having much luck lately, my rainy day fund is currently being used by the Icelandic government !!!
At least IT people can (if they are good) do other IT jobs (probably for less money), all the stock market brokers, financial advisors etc will be hit harder, but they probably deserve it more.
