The answer does not necessarily lie in increasing the birth rate. In fact it takes years for a baby to grow into a productive member of society.
We have millions of unemployed in the UK, many possibly due to our useless education system, and also many due to low aspirations, low self esteem and high benefits available. What we need to do is to reduce their benefits, train/educate them, build their confidence and get them off of the dole.
On top of that there are many older people that want to work but are discriminated against due to age. Let's get them into work if they are capable.
