    The sharemarket goes up and down like the tide, mostly inconsequentially. Occasionally something big comes along, like say, the Boxing Day Tsunami, and then we see some really big tides, then it all returns to normal.

    Its not the end, its just a blip/correction/whatever to remind the sharemarket that shares are in fact supposed to realistically reflect the value of the company that issued them.
