I'm not sure the rich have ever been that popular. I think it's one of those wake up moments, so sentiment will harden among the general public.

Many will be losing their jobs as the economy contracts and banks merge, but this will not happen in the public sector as it expands inexorably, and then you have somebody like sleazy Mandelson who keeps returning to the fold to dip in the trough yet again.
