Northern Rock still sponsor Newcastle United because the Rock is a 'going concern'.

I was on the rock last week. Nice views of the bay and the audio tour is excellent. That birdman fellow was just misunderstood.

So Northern Rock was worth 100 Billion, according to Vince Cable, and HMG did not like the thought of the private sector making a profit on the back of BofE loans. Says it all !!
