Nah, a probe should do the trick ...

    In promiscuous mode preferably.

Thought about it, but I don't really have the need for that much storage space on the PS3 itself at the moment. Just (today) been setting up my shiny new QNAP TS-209 Pro II NAS with a couple of 1TB Samsungs, so that should give me enough storage space for the time being, whilst allowing me to stream stuff to the PS3.

I've also had HD for about 2 years and it defo rocks. Funny comment previously if it aint on HD then I generally don't watch it!

One thing I have picked up on...why doesn't Sky HD have ITVHD? that was a tad annoying during the euro's..

I've had Sky HD since it came out and I'm pretty happy with it. Lots of the stuff I watch is in HD like 24, Prison Break, Lost, BSG, Stargate, etc. (geek? who, me?) and it's great for the football. We have had some trouble with the Sky HD box itself though - our first one died the week after the warranty exptired, and we had a wrangle getting another one off Sky. The box still isn't as stable as I would like, and requires a reboot every couple of weeks. It would really benefit from a larger drive as well - a HD movie can consume ~10%.

And another vote for the PS3 as a Blu Ray player.

I still have my sky+ box becuase I bought my HD box off some dodgy fecker on the net. It died shortly after I got it and sky sent a guy round to fix it. He couldn't so he gave me a new one!

Umm, I think the engineers have just knicked that off you and probably selling ti to someone as a wee side profit - you've paid for that, it's your box!!!

    From a girls perspective:-

    1) I didn't realise they would take away the sky plus box (with 3 espisodes of Desperate Housewives and 2 episodes of Prison Break on!! Was never sure what it involved - I thought maybe they'd just tweak something)

    2) I had to set all my series links up again...and first had to check that they were on the HD channels. Turns out they're not always on the same time!!! If Channel 4 has something on at 10 on a wednesday, it doesn't actually mean Channel 4 HD will have it on at 10 n a Wed!!! )

    3) There are hardly any channels!!! I was expecting a HD channel for every channel!

    4) All your inlaws start coming round to watch the golf.

    Overall 2/10.
The shouldn't have done, it's your Sky+ box.

There are some rouge installers who do this then flog them on eBay, sounds like you got one of those.
I'd report it to Sky immediately.
