Your previous post indicated that you thought morgan stanley's credit card services are the same as the IB (which is the part that is in danger now) also you indicated that MS's card services were taken over, the fact is the business was sold... big difference, also you presumed the takeover was something to do with the current situation....

however as your source was the letters you got, then you can't be blamed.

Card services has nothing to do with IB part of the business!!

Its not unusual for the business to sell parts / product in order to concentrate on others, or if it cost them more to maintain the product that their profit, hence they are better off selling that part of the business to a specialised company.

Similarly many mortgage companies sold their mortgage protection part of the business to specialised companies (e.g. L&G)

How do I know?
About a year ago my Morgan Staley statements started comming from Goldfish, then about 4 months ago they sent me a letter saying they had been taken over by Barclycard.

That's when I cancelled it
