OP, keep yer money well hidden, dont be flashy, keep yer gob shut, be respectful and you will be ok.

I WAS a student at the time - uncanny! A student pal of mine (a hard case, actually) was pasted by a gang of Scousers around the same time for doing nothing more than walking home late one night. Hospitalized. When he got back to his digs, he'd been burgled. All together, now: "Ferry 'cross the Mersey... straight over to the blessed haven that is the Wirral, and don't look back!"

They are - your logic is sound.

I was born and raised, for a while, in Liverpool, my family's origins are there and many of my more distant relatives live there: it's still a toilet.

Fair enough you can stay in Southport if you ever come back to Liverpool.

A mate of mine had a good kicking one time ( in a friendly Northern town ) and was knocked out, he came round and started to have a pee in the road ( no idea what day it was, covered in blood, etc etc ) . The friendly local plod came along and arrested him for peeing in the road !

It may be a decent evening on the town to you and me, but it's the mortgage paid for a Scouser.
