Yandex Vs. Google: I am sure that I once heard that in Japan, eBay is a definite seond to another online auction thing, as the other started first and simply won the hearts & minds. So, maybe Yandex will win? Who f--king cares, anyway?

On the subject. Yandex is not Google killer. They are just local search engine and Google came late into Russia - Yandex has got very small index compared to Google and they focus only on Russian market - in no way they will ever beat Google for global searches (which are the most valuable).
Yandex share of searches in Russia is falling - Google is gaining popularity steadily, it is just a matter of time before they succumb to the beast, probably sell out. Either them or Rambler (another Russian search engine).
