    Meh, they should allow law abiding citizens to arm themselves in this country. sure there will be mayhem and carnage on the streets but after a while the violence will drop off as all the crims will be sucking on a packet of raisens with alah

    Given that it's perfectly legal to carry a concealed firearm in Texas other than in schools, this isn't as drastic as it sounds (to Texans). Personally I think a greater deterrent would be an unconcealed firearm. Who's going to argue with a teacher when they're conspicuously packing a .44 Magnum Automag.
