Time for Change?

Quite a few people here have put up the argument

"There is no point voting Tory, they won't be any better."

Let me turn the question around.

Please tell me in what way a new Conservative government taking over now would be any worse than the current government. What is there to lose by voting Conservative at the next election?

Answers on a postcard please.

You know, the last time Tories were in power, interest rates were 15%, lots of people went broke. Labour can't hack it either, Liberals don't have much idea of what to do!

Why not try Britains newest Political Party? Its called "The Pagan Party", it seeks to promote true domocracy by enabling people to actually vote for the things they want, instead of telling them how their taxes etc are going to be spent. So why do Conservative taxes go up?

They go up to sort out the mess left by labour. infact after the previous labour govt they also had to strip the Uk of all the leeches that were sponging off the taxpayer (namely the miners and other trade unionists).

Now the next govt is going to have to sort out the mess left by NL and their largesse. If I were the conservatives I would throw the next election and leave labour to sort it out all out.

A slight oversimplification, but there is no doubt that the Tories will have to raise tax to plug New Lie's deficit in 2010.

There are many areas where New Lie is overspending or wasting taxpayer's funds.... eg:

Overpayments on Tax Credits due to computer errors.... 5.3 Billion written off since 2003!!
Dumping Thatcher's EU rebate thanks to Blair is costing extra Billions each year !!
Donations abroad.... 800 million to India recently !!
Sold our gold at loss of 7 Billion !!
Illegal War on Iraq !!
3.7 Billion claimants of incapacity benefit, many of whom are fraudulent
Scotland gets 1,000 pounds per head more than England per annum !!
GPs' new contracts that were wrongly costed costing Billions !!
PFI..... costing 100s of Billions and very poor value
NHS computer system costing 22 Billion and much of that written off !!

Public sector pensions.. failure to bring in line with private sector is costing Billions and is unsustainable... another job for the Tories !!

So let's get this straight - when the Tories put up taxes it is to pay for Labour errors, and when Labour put them up it's to pay for benefit scroungers? Is that seriously your analysis?

I think most people are just fed up of being patronised, reduce the stealth taxes on fuel, make the streets safe, and stop creating laws with improportianate penalties for law abiding people who occasionally make a misdemeanor.
