... and that doesn't count all those who have a related illness (IBS, mental health, etc etc) as the reason for receiving benefit, with the alcoholism not even being mentioned....

I do have some sympathy for these people, it's a disease with diabolically bad treatment options.

It seems there are rather a lot of alkies on incapacity benefit because they are alkies.
