I do know the test gets harder in a few months, something to do with EU regulations. I'm thinking of doing it before the new regs come in. The only thing that worries me is all bikers say you aren't a real biker until you have fallen off.
I go to a bikers pub a lot and one guy has a > 2 litre bike

Bikes post 2003 always have the light on.
I can recommend draggin jeans. Check the product testing out!!
I've seen the ER-6 and it looks a good bike for newbies. Wouldn't have one meself, but then, I ride a zed thou with loud pipes

Don't forget damn good boots with ankle protection as well. As I've found out to my cost.
Oh and gloves.
With a lid, get one that will take a pinlock visor. Absolute god send.

guys thanks i do appreciate all the different views, and i would never ride without the safety gaer on, and as an alternative to leather trousers ( not a good look unless you frequesnt the blue oyster bar...) there is loads of alternatives like the kevlar jeans out there.
anyone see the moto gp on that note?
