Completely potty, but this "chip in the head" plan sounds eminently sensible compared with this bunch of loonies also reported on there, the (wait for it) "Voluntary Human Extinction Movement"

IMHO by far the most likely major disaster to befall humanity in the future is some rogue biochemist spreading a deadly virus or something, crazed with an extremist form of the kind of misguided outlook those guys expound.
